The sculpture-horloge – New Development in 2023 – 2024

In late 2023, a Montreal-based company got in touch after coming across my work on the sculpture-horloge. They had been hired by the Palais des congrès de Montréal to restore the sculpture’s exterior, which they completed successfully, but they needed help with the internal electronics and control systems.

We eventually arranged an on-site inspection. A scaffold was set up to give access to the sculpture. I climbed up and entered through a small hatch, stepping alone into the heart of the clock. It was a powerful moment. Sunlight streamed through the red acrylic discs marking the hours and animation points, filling the space with a warm, otherworldly glow. Surreal, beautiful, and completely unforgettable.
